It was a frustrating morning with showers and storms developing fairly early around Moree and moving steadily towards southeast Queensland. I went into work early but it was frustrating trying to get out early! I was able to head out soon after 2pm – there was a very nice storm heading for Gatton, but it was going NE too quickly. Another storm was rapidly developing just to its east – so I decided to go for that storm. With the relatively mild and moist conditions it rapidly developed a nice gust front and was able to take photos as it progressed northeastwards. However it weakened as it headed towards the city. Below are some photos of the sequence across Redbank and Darra – was certainly a great sight to see and very photogenic! Interested
