Brisbane's (still to date), most damaging thunderstorm on record. Since then, I've been captivated by weather - particularly thunderstorms and tropical cyclones. I went to university in 1999, and then by 2001 commenced work with my current employer (Weatherwatch). I work as a meteorologist in the private industry and love every moment of it! As a hobby, I storm chase and take photos on my travels. Downunderchasing documents many of my experiences across Australia. I've chased storms from Darwin to Melbourne and everywhere in between since 1999. By doing this I've also had the pleasure of exploring much of our beautiful country and experiencing towns and places in a way that I had never imagined. Downunderchasing is as much as a personal chasing journal, as it is also a way to share these experiences to others interested. I'm always more than happy to talk to people about weather - so if you have any experiences or photos that you want to share with me - please send me an email and let me know! - NB - My email server on the site isn't working right now - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Thanks for taking the time to have a read about this site - and thanks to everyone's encouragement over the years, it's been fantastic! Anthony Cornelius |
